Rocky

I had a "rocky" start on this little guy ... having only painted a pet once before (and that was about 5 or 6 years ago) I wasn't sure it was going to work.   Half way through putting the lights and darks I decided to quit.   But ... took a deep breath and dove back into it, kept the course and by the end was happy with the result.

This is the April challenge from the "A Day Not Wasted" http://adaynotwasted.com/2011/04/april-2011-painting-challenge-gallery/  photo by Lee A. Brown of his dog Zoe.   I have renamed this little one Rocky in honor of his rocky start!

  1. Pets are so tricky to do Jill...especially when you try to capture an image and personality ! My hats off to you on Rocky & rocky start...he's a very cute little pup and your tenacity captured that !
